what a *****

he got his ass dunked on. take it like a man. I'm sure there were other players who tweeted about it, too

Based on that article, he did take it like a man.

And he's right about Lebron too. LBJ didn't just leave it at "wow, what a great dunk". He had to make it about himself in some way.

He says he doesn't care about getting dunked on. Yet he takes the time out to talk about it...I agree with Yankees.

But this is also coming from LeBron who got dunked on by Jordan Crawford and had Nike confiscate the footage at one point soo....

I think he was more put off by the fact that LeBron is a premier player who implicitly tooted his own horn. Because of that, I agree with Perk.

KP is a big baby. He constantly looks like he's about to burst into tears. JUST DO IT ALREADY

I could care less for both players however what Kendrick said about Lebron is true. But it doesn't really matter because he'll be the one to end up looking like a chump for talking about the tweet.

It's been a little more than a week since Blake Griffin killed Dubstep by dunking on Kendrick Perkins. And now Perkins is finally coming to grips with what happened in a very chill and cool way. In a move familiar to anyone who has been embarrassed and then taken their frustration out on a third-party observer, Perkins decided to launch into a scathing attack on LeBron James. James, you may recall, was one of the 3 million people who tweeted about the Griffin-on-Perk jam. Perkins said, "At the end of the day, the guys who are playing for the right reasons who are trying to win championships are not worrying about one play. They also are not tweeting about themselves talking about going down to no. 2. I just feel [James] is always looking for attention and he wants the world to like him." Wanting everyone to like him is definitely not a problem that Kendrick Perkins has.

From Grantland. *dead*

Why do young folks think it's such a big deal to get dunked on? Every player to ever play in the nba has been dunked on. Perkins could have moved out the way but he tried to make a play, I respect that more than I care about a dunk.

Lebron's tweet didn't seem that bad. He wasn't trashing Perkins or anything.

LOL... It's funny cause it's true. Lebron has no clue why he's hated.

It's hilarious because Perkins took this opportunity to say about what Lebron what everyone else in the NBA wants to say about him. This guy let Jason freaking Terry bow up to him in the Finals, and he crawled into a shell. Now, Lebron has started to sound like Mark Turgeon, saying he's such a target, he can't win, everything is his fault. Grow the **** up. That's exactly what Perkins was talking about, the greats weren't pusses like Lebron.

Perk said it best yesterday on Rome "it's not the first time I've been dunked on, and it certainly won't be the last." For God's sake, Kevin Johnson dunked on Hakeem, didn't kill his legacy.

He keeps getting asked about, you'd probably rip him if he said "no comment" or "I don't wanna talk about it."

I think the 'it won't be the last time I get dunked on approach' is great. But his reaction has a whiny tone.

King James has no room to talk. This clown confiscated a video of a HS star dunking on him.

This clown always has to interject himself into every thought because he's a narcissist.

This clown proclaimed himself #2 in the same tweet of praise of the dunk.

It's ridiculous...

Lebron James is a self absorbed b****. Yeah, he's kicking our asses at life, but i don't see how people can respect a player like him. I always loved the hard nosed athletes who just cared about winning and let their play do the talking instead of running their mouth constantly.

he never said crap in Cleveland, and everyone liked him. moves to Miami, and it's a total 180

f*** lebron.

i would do anything for him to never win a championship. sadly he's too good, he could accidentally fall into one.

this is a huge overreaction by perkins.

lebron jumped over a guy on a dunk the night before and tons of people were calling it the dunk of the year. now people are really offended that he said blake's dunk was even better?

there are plenty of reasons to dislike lebron, but this one is flimsier than liberace at the playboy mansion.

I haven't read anything to suggest anybody is offended by that.

considering that's what his tweet said, kendrick perkins (and everybody on board with him) is apparently offended by that

I'm certainly not offended. What Perk said about Lebron was correct though.

Look at what Lebron's tweet said. Not "Damn that was the best dunk all year". It was "Whoa what a dunk, I guess I'm number 2, move over #6".

Should Perkins have singled out Lebron? Probably not. Understandably, he's a little embarrassed. Doesn't make what he said about Lebron any less true. As mentioned already, he's probably been asked about being dunked on a thousand times already, and no matter what he says he's going to look like a chump.

Doesn't this ring a bell to anyone?

quote:
All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point.”

Guess what, I guess we will all go back to living our Texags lives soon enough.

Complaining about someone saying something on twitter makes you sound like a child.
