It's nothing earth shattering watching Lin. He just runs literally 30-40 pick and rolls a game and either gets to the hoop or kicks out. He turns over the ball a lot but more often than not he gets to the cup and makes a play. He goes to the free throw line a lot also. He isn't that great of a defender.

So he's basically a Steve Nash clone?

Except he's a bad jump shooter and Steve Nash is among the best of all time and Steve Nash doesn't turnover the ball 5 times a game.

But to be fair Lin is still young and green. I understand ESPN is doing their best to ruin him for us, but let's give the kid some patience.

No, I definitely think he's not just a flash in the pan. He will get better at his jumpshot and his turnovers will go down with time. You can't teach his athleticism or feel for the game. He's in a really good situation in New York for his strengths.

Always watch out for Rockets fans downplaying Lin - theyre in full defensive mode over Morey letting him go.

But Linsanity is also tied in to the MSG crowd and Tyson Chandler and the infectious excitement leading to wins.

Who should be more embarrassed? Rockets for letting him go, or the other 30 teams in the league that didn't give him a shot?

Rockets. No one knew more about him. But the Rockets have a legit excuse that they already had 3 PGs.

Yes the Mavs got outbid for him by Golden State. Not quite the same thing as cutting him.

They shouldn't look dumb for getting outbid for him and then not re signing him when he got cut by golden state? If the mavericks had such in depth knowledge of him....

No. They tried to sign him, the Rockets cut him. Nothing to get defensive about.

Linsanity doesn't happen unless it happened exactly how it did. Retroactively looking at who assessed him better is pointless, he'd likely still be an unknown pine rider if he was still with either the Rockets or Dallas.
