Wed 11 - Utah
Fri 13 - Phoenix
Sun 15 - @Denver
Mon 16 - Denver
Wed 18 - @Dallas

5 straight games against all of the teams in the playoff hunt. Only one back to back (coincidentally against the same team).

Denver is about to lose Harrington. they're done.

Suns are about to get Hill back

The Mavs blow

Rockets should be fine.

Very important stretch, head tells me 4-1 but the heart tells me 5-0.

My only concern is that idiotic back to back with Denver. They should flip a coin and play both games at the same arena.

3-2 would be acceptable, 4-1 would be a realistic possibility, 5-0 would be great. We just need to make sure we keep distancing ourselves from Utah and Phoenix to stay in the playoff picture

Head's telling me 4-1 as well. Depends on how the Mavs are playing.

Yeah, I was a little off on my prediction. I guess I got excited after we went 4-0 on our previous roadtrip

God I hate rooting for an average team. They're good enough for you to care about but have the type of losses where it pains you because you think they can do better. At least when you suck like the Bobcats, the losses don't hurt so much because that's what you expect.

And this team will be average for the next few years until we find a superstar.

Darryl Morey is an average GM just like this team. Needs to let him go. He has had long enough to turn this team around.

RealTalk, it's almost worse seeing a team you know is championship caliber, go down in the first round or have your star player injured the last game of the season.

But I feel your pain.

For those saying morey is average, what could he have done over the past 3 seasons to prove he wasn't average?

He should not have signed, traded, or drafted average players with no potential to be great. I'd rather have a crappy team and be able to have a high draft pick and possibly get a guy that you can build a team around. Right now, we have absolutely nobody to carry this team. Unless the Rockets go sign or trade for a big time player (and I don't see that happening), this team will battle for the 8th spot for the next 5 years.

If you see a bright future for the Rockets, you're delusional.

So the fact that he didn't tank this year and was an unprecedented move by the league commissioner robbing him of an all star center to build around tells you he's an average GM?

Build a team around a 31 year-old soft weak ass European center? Laughable. That in itself proves that Morey sucks.

I didn't mean to tank the season. Just quit making moves for the sake of doing something because all we're getting in return are a bunch of average players. I do like getting the 1st round draft picks, though. But with his draft record, he'll most likely draft some good role players. Yep...those Sabermetrics guys love role players. The NBA is a star-driven league. Until the Rockets find one, they'll be a perennial middle of the road team.

And Morey is an average GM because the team he has put together is average. Not sure how else you can judge a GM. And you replace a respected coach in Adelman with loser ass McHale? Yeah..real smart.

Trading for an all star center proves he sucks?

Continually drafting contributors at draft slots where stars are 99.9% not an option and role players are not a given is a bad thing?

Quit making moves that more times than not are clear cut victories?

Take a lap, man. You're embarrassing yourself.

He can't just make a star player appear out of nowhere, and as you've said, it takes stars to be anything more than average.

And Adelman leaving was a mutual decision. I don't think each party had the same interests in mind.

Yes re-creating the 2000s Grizzlies by building around Gasol is not a slam dunk genius move.

The worst thing that a team can do is hover around the 8-10 seed every year. Either cash in those assets or blow it up for cap space/high lottery picks. There have been many franchise players traded the past 6 years, and Morey has had plenty of assets to make trades. How many more years does he get to acquire all these great assets while failing to convert them into a superstar?

Please list some of the franchise players that have been traded that the rockets should have acquired but didn't try to.

And nobody said acquiring gasol would be a slam dunk genius move or that they were attempting to recreate the 2000's grizzlies.

Everyone is whining that morey won't makea move for a star, and yet he has made power plays for....
Chris Bosh
Carmelo Anthony
Ricky Rubio
Demarcus Cousins

...and literally traded for a perennial all star center in pau gasol, before having him taken away.

He's had cap space for lebron james and now for dwight Howard. but he can only do so much, it takes the players wanting to come to Houston, and unfortunately this specific group of players is not interested.

All of them. You're implying that Morey should get credit because he *tried* to acquire them?

All of them? Lol.

Come on, name some franchise players that were traded that the rockets should have acquired.
