The NBA playoffs are about superstars, Duncan and Ginobili aren't what they used to be.
Ginobili is having the best year of his career in FG% (.526) and 3pt% (.413). His ppg is down, but he's been getting limited minutes because of injuries + and the depth that means there's no reason to push it.
He's not quite as fast as he used to be, but he still looks pretty damn good, not to mention that at this stage in his career, he's got a nearly bottomless bag of feints and fakes and bizarre moves that nobody else in the NBA uses.
Duncan is looking his best since 08. Losing weight has helped his offensive game.
Last thing: Parker is a legit superstar.
1) He's one of the fastest & most explosive players in the NBA. He's in his physical prime.
2) He has a ton of shots and moves that he uses around the hoop. He's not just a freak athlete that can explode to the rim at any time, but is good for little else
3) His mid range shot is not top notch, but it's good enough. He's capable of hitting shots if the opponent crowds the lane
4) His assist #s are way up and his TOs are down.
5) He's the guy who shifts the offense to 6th gear.
6) He's got 3 titles and a finals MVP award
Anyway, I think he's a super star. He could have really challenged for the MVP award if he'd gotten more minutes and shots (some of the talking heads noticed this, which is why he was getting some MVP chatter despite having much lower stat #s). He's a guy we can ride in the playoffs for ~40 mins/night. We can give him the ball when we need to score points. He's young and in great shape (+ no more back to backs!!), and he's already "been there."
