Stupid thread, congrats. The Lakers-Spurs 1999 series has no relevance to anything. I think tomorrow I'll start a thread and talk about that Sixers-Pacers 2001 series. Since well... uh both teams are still alive and they could play in the conference finals!

I welcome any thread that mentions that sweep. It was hilarious watching the Lakers quit at home in the fashion. Remember seeing D-Rob manhandle shaq in the paint as well. Amazing strength on display...

I loved how the Lakers just quit in the last games of the 2003 series vs. the Spurs and the 2008 Finals against the Celts. Hopefully, we'll see a repeat this weekend.

Robert Horry cost L.A. that series in 2003 with his absolutely atrocious shooting throughout the series. He then of course went to San Antonio and practically won the 2005 title for the Spurs thanks to his performance in that OT game on the road. I hold him personally responsible for two of the Spurs last three titles.

I actually remember him more as a Rocket, and I'm a young'un .

That guy made memorable playoff contributions on the way to all 7 of his championships. His most ridiculous display of owning a team was game 5 against Detroit in 2005. He single-handedly dominated that game down the stretch. Almost all by himself.

He won't be tied to any one team... Seeing as how he won so many championships with 3 different teams
