Can someone enlighten me as to why Houston didnt see the potential in Hibbert and were so quick to run him out of town?

Just think about how the Grizzlies feel about drafting "Hibbert" after Blake Griffin, but before Harden, Evans, and Steph Curry, only to trade "Hibbert" for a 3-month Shane Battier rental to Houston, who gave up on "Hibbert" and gave him to the Indiana Pacers for Antonio Davis and Rik Smits.

Funny stuff. Google the terms "Hibbert" and "Thabeet" and you get several articles titled something like
"Roy Hibbert Is Tired Of People Asking If He's Hasheem Thabeet"

2012... Year of the Taint. Tainted title that is. Can't think of a year where the two top contenders had All-Stars go out with injuries (D-Rose and Chris Bosh). Not to mention Dwight Howard.

Whoever wins the title this year might be the most unworthy champion in a long time. There is no way anyone in the west was beating Miami or Chicago. In recent memory the only thing that comes close was C-Webb and Dirk in 2003 but I still think the Spurs were the best team that year. Also how nervous is Stern right now??? You know he wants OKC-Miami but it's looking more and more like Indy/Bos-SA right now. Vomit.

The Bulls vs. Spurs/Thunder would have been a great series that could go either way, but the Heat would get handled at full health by either of those teams.

Yu. Lol. The spurs had the best record in the NBA and are on a 16 game winning streak. They can beat any team at full strength.

The fact is, Miami, Chicago, and the other EC playoffs teams had the benefit of feasting on a miserable lot of also rans over there. If the teams played half their games against each conference, the winning % would look something like this.

Team (EC win %/WC win %) - average winning %

SAS (.833/.729) = .781 average
Bulls (.791/ .667) = .730
OKC (.722/.708) = .715
Heat (.729/ .611) = .670

I know that isn't a perfect analysis, but it does help show how good the Spurs have been.

Lemme guess. You're not a Spurs fan?

If the Heat can't beat the Pacers despite a healthy Lebron James and Dwanye Wade, then they are far from being one of the two "top contenders".

I'll admit I'm happy the Bulls are out, because I think they were the best team in the league this year. But of the teams left, OKC, the Spurs, and the Heatles have enough talent (even without Bosh) that, whoever wins will have truly accomplished something.
