In the last 47 games Tony Parker played, for instance, they're 43-4.

Did you hear me? FORTY-THREE AND FOUR!

If it took them 47 games to lose four times with Parker, I'm guessing it will take more than seven for them to lose four more.

That's why I keep saying nobody is beating this San Antonio team; it's a tribute to the Thunder's talent that they'll be able to make this series somewhat competitive. But it will also show the young Thunder how much further they have to go to match the franchise they've worked so hard to emulate. San Antonio will finally lose a game, but I doubt it will lose more than once.

Just curious how OKC has tried to emulate the Spurs?

I think the implication is that they are good at developing talent (Harden), and don't overpay role players (Collison). And when I say "overpay", I mean relative to the cap (signing bonuses notwithstanding).

The obvious difference is that the Spurs didn't have 3 top-5 picks within a 3-year span.

And BTW I disagree with Hollinger. I think this series will be a wash and could go either way. I am banking on a game 7.

Superstar forward with all-world skill level. Star point guard who would be the best player on 75% of the teams in the league. Left-handed 6th-Man Award winning two guard coming off the bench. Coach who fits his team perfectly. Small market team. One of the best front offices and GM's in the league.

I agree with this. The playoffs are a different animal and this OKC team is playing at an extremely high confidence level. San Antonio might be the best team playing right now, but this will be a hard-fought series. At least, I hope.

All of these over confident takes on the series make me nervous. I know the Spurs aren't taking them lightly. But OKC is playing good ball right now.

I'm just hoping the Spurs team play overcomes the OKC athletic ability and superstars.

Go Spurs.

Not to hijack the thread, but remember when the Bulls started the 95-96 season 41-3?

Seems to me people who think the spurs win easy are the same types who haven't paid attention until the last few games...

Of course, the people who think the Thunder will wrap this up in 6 games probably haven't been watching for the past 40 games.

This is the reason why I believe those same people will declare Miami unbeatable and the new favorites once the Spurs lose one game.
