Why does everyone seem to think the thunder are just gonna work over the spurs? The majority of the Spurs Victories have been blow outs of them!

Have you ever watched a spurs run to the championship? They get overlooked and downplayed until they've actually been handed the trophy. People never learn

Most everyone thinks the spurs will win the series.

Even the ones picking OKC say it could go either way. Spurs will get nasty and win.

Yep, it's hard to pick against a team that has gone on something like a 44-4 run. And won 19 straight, and owned OKC the last few years.

But people find a way to overlook that.

Several of the nutjobs on esipn still say thunder in 6. They expect the spurs to just lay down and go 1-4????

Hell they get overlooked even after they've been handed the trophy. The media wants to put asterisks next to their trophies 10 years down the road.

That said, it has been since 1999 that the Spurs looked this "inevitible" in the conference finals. I'm not sure there are too many out there that currently believe the Thunder can beat the Spurs 4 out of the next 6. I do, and I believe it is silly to think that OKC is going to lay down the way Utah and LA did. My guess is that the second OKC gets a win in this series (and it will happen), the Spurs aura of invincibility will take a major hit and a lot of people will proclaim that OKC has "figured them out".

I'm not saying OKC will win this series, because I don't believe they will. But after 30 or so years of watching NBA basketball, nothing would surprise me.

I was calling the Thunder coming back and winning the series down 0-2. Damn good team. The Spurs are good, though, so don't ***** and moan and get all butthurt.
