He'd be a solid backup - but to whom? Kidd will stay 1 more year and Delonte West could be a 1. That's assuming we don't add anybody else. I'd take West over Law.

I admit I'm biased but trying my hardest to be negative, I still think he could be a poor man's J.J. Barea. A defensive liability but you know he will drive it. That is something the Mavs really missed this year.

I really think he could be a solid bench player.

Cubes probably planted this rumor as a favor to his Aggie wife. Or it came from the same source who claimed Van Gundy was interested in the Aggie job

Guy was awesome in college, but just can't cut it in the NBA. There is no shame in that.

As a Rockets fan, I'd like to see the Mavs sign Acie.

I don't think Acie is as bad as everyone is saying. He hasn't exactly gotten much of a chance with a decent surrounding cast.

Hoops doesn't require a cast to show you can play.

He has always put up solid offensive numbers : minutes. It's been his defense that kept him on the bench. Carlisle and his willingness to play zone could make it work.

Law has been with playoff teams and crappy teams, it doesn't matter. He's being successful in Europe, he should stay there and feel good about still being in one of the top leagues in the world.

The decent teams he has been with he was never given a chance other than garbage minutes.

He never earned it. He was a lottery pick that wasn't given a chance by the team that drafted him. That's on him.
