since we in the DFW area live in "Southern Oklahoma" from what i've heard from those of you south of us, we get to claim the Mavs and the Thunder.

The spurs didn't choke. Sorry, but some of you are flat out idiots. The thunder just simply established themselves as the better team. Really no more reading into it than that.

After all the **** Mavs fans endured on this forum from 2006-2011 is it not interesting to see the roles flip? What's next? Trade Tony Parker for Jason Kidd?

choking would imply you were the better team. While people thought they were that going into the series, after the series it couldn't be more obvious that that's not the case. The spurs didn't choke. The thunder established themselves as the better team.

The spurs came to play, on the thunders court, gave it their best shot, and couldn't pull it off. Had nothing to do with choking. Choking would be blowing it against an inferior team that you SHOULD BEAT, which only morons would argue that OKC is an inferior team. Only an idiot would claim the spurs should have beaten OKC after seeing the series played out. I thought the spurs were the better team 2 weeks ago, I couldn't have been more wrong as it's obvious they aren't.

so there are a lot of moronic spurs fans out there as well as many others who - after going up 2-0 w/ a 20 game win streak and the 3 future HOF'ers playing their best - seemed to be fairly confident that the Spurs were the better team.

Just saying the two Western Conference Finals feel similar. Spurs down Mavs in 6 in a year the Mavs were expected to finally break through, Spurs lose in 6 to the Thunder. As a Mavs fan I felt a lot of heartache that year I have never quite gotten over. I suspect Spurs fans may feel the same after being so close this year.

You can say that about every NBA series ever. The better team always wins a 7 game series. But when you're a veteran champion team up 2-0 on a young team after being universally picked to win the series and the title... if that's not a choke then nothing is.

Let the Mavs fans enjoy their best moment of the season. Good for them. Great game from the Mavs tonight.

You're so desperate to see the Spurs brought down to the Mavs' level. It's cute.

I was one of them. Doesn't make me a moron. After winning 20 straight including 3 over this very team, it was a reasonable thought. After watching 4 games in which the spurs actually played pretty well for the most part, it became apparent that wasn't the case. In a couple of these losses, the spurs played just as well as they did all year, but still lost. That isn't choking. But alas, like simplebay, you are too simple minded to be able to understand that.

Simply put, I disagree completely. The better doesn't always win, for starters.. That's been seen time and time again. I've seen choke jobs, this wasn't one of them. The better team won when all was said and done. I watched a spurs team play as well as they've played all year for a lot of this game, and they still couldn't pull it out.

Let me just ask you this simple question. After watching this series, who do you believe is the better team? If you say the spurs, you aren't very bright. The better team has to lose for it to be a choke job.
