@KDTrey5: Tough way to end a season but I am truly blessed to have the privilege to play for such a great city, congrats to the Miami Heat..

Meanwhile...

@KingJames: OMFG I think it just hit me, I'm a CHAMPION!! I AM a CHAMPION!!

What a ******.

That only looks bad to someone who wants it to look bad.

LBJ is a weird cat, he has his moments. What I'll remember is him taking the time to go and speak with the Thunder players after the game last night. Huge props for that.

Just let it go, it's going to be okay. KD will win his championships and LeBron will probably get a few more as well.

I just hope that Carmelo or Dwight Howard never win one.

If you had spent your whole life in Ohio, you'd want to leave as well.

LBJ has handled everything with class. He is a class act. You can tell the other players on the team on opposing teams respect and like him.

He made mistakes. But to cast him as a bad person is just wrong. You might not like him b/c he is on an opposing team, but don't pretend he is a bad person.

Just like when some people paint colt mccoy as a bad person or Tim tewbow as a bad person. They are good people and if these players were on your team, you would be having posters all over your bedroom slobbering.

He didn't turn his back on Cleveland or Akron. Still does a lot in both cities. He left an organization that wasn't hacking it in terms of putting a good team around him together.

If I averaged 29/10/7/2 on the way to clinching my first NBA title, I would literally climb to the top of the Empire State Building and scream KING KONG AIN'T GOT S*** ON ME".

Saw a shocking chart on ESPN showing how Lebron had only played 9 less playoffs games than Dirk at 115 before winning. Both of them had played the most games without winning a title amongst MVP winners with titles. Dr J and Wes Unseld were 3rd and 4th

I wonder where Lebron is on the "most playoff games after 9 seasons" and "most playoff series wins after 9 seasons" list.

Sidebar: holy crap, Lebron has been in the league for 9 years.

Come on. He did an hour long TV special that culminated with him kicking his home state in the nuts in front of the entire country. That's mega arsehole.

If you're good at something, don't do it for free. He's amazing at gathering an audience. Don't forget that around 6 million dollars went to charity from the proceeds of that program.

All those that bag on him for leaving the Cavs, what did you expect him to do? Stay with a team that had no chance of winning? He had no help...none...the team around him was garbage he took them to the finals.

So what, you expected him to rot in Cleveland his whole career? Then you'd have bagged on him for not winning a championship. Why don't you go bag on Ray Allen or kevin garnett for leaving their teams to play together?

I just hope there's this much outrage and anger when Deron Williams leaves New Jersey for Dallas...oh wait, that'll be different right?

I don't blame him or hate him for leaving the Cavs, I just don't think he needed a 1 hour TV special to do it.

The charity excuse is BS. He could have just signed with the Heat and done that separately and had every bit as much success (raising money).

I'm not a fan of the Jim Gray/Maverick Carter business plan of The Decision either...but he would not have been able to raise that much money on the side.

Also, did you or anyone pay attention to how much coverage Peyton Manning's free agency had this offseason, and how much attention he got when he signed with Denver? He got what amounted to a 1 hour program when he ultimately had his signing/PC with the Broncos. Lebron was going to get mega attention and mega coverage no matter how he did it. Sure, I agree if he would have just signed and leaked it to the press and had his press conference quietly, I would have liked it more...but to act like he could have raised as much money "on the side" as they did with the decision, or to blame him for the attention he got from the situation is just as wrong as calling the charity angle "BS."

The coverage was going to be there no matter what. I think we all(even LBJ) agree that it hurt his persona for a year + as a result...but let's be honest...we would have all had to suffer through the coverage no matter what, at least they got money to a good cause out of it.

I think he coulda organized some other charity even that raised 6 mil. I could be wrong.

I will say I don't care that much. I think he's an ass, but so are most pro athletes (I think a lot of them would have done the same if they had his talent), so it doesn't affect my opinion of him significantly

Can't stand Lebron, Wade and the Heat in general. Although I do like Bosh.

Having said that, unlike '06 (when the NBA was trying to make Wade the next Jordan with all the calls he was getting), at least they earned the title this year.
