As a Mavs fan I'm preparing myself for my team to be a huge laughing stock. They had the chance to repeat by bringing back Chandler, Stevenson, and Barea and go for it again. Instead ALL eggs are in one basket that is rather empty at this point. This has great potential and great disaster looming....

Just sign Nash and Terry ... probably won't win anything, but it would be cool to see Dirk and Nash together again.

This doesn't make sense to me.

After losing Tyson any summer that doesn't end with D12 and D-will is a failure. He was clearly the missing puzzle piece that fixed 10+ years of Mavs frustation.

A max contract for Roy Hibbert is only 4 years 58mm I believe. That would be worth it should Deron go elsewhere.

Chandler talk is all hindsight. I loved that guy, but Cuban repeatedly said that under the new CBA he didn't want to toss out huge contracts without fully understanding how player market value would change. If the Mavs whiff on Deron it's easy to say "oh we should have kept the band together" but the strategy makes sense, especially considering the more harsh punishment of being over the luxury tax under said CBA.

if no D-Will, I like Hibbert at $13 mil/year

Looks like there's handshake agreement in place between Hibbert and Portland to sign that offer sheet when the moratorium is over.

Indiana would be very stupid not to match imo.
