I have been a Rockets fan all my life. My grandfather loved Hakeem and all those mid-90s Rockets and its the team I grew up watching.

However, I'm so mad at freaking Morey right now its unbelievable.

Last year he failed to get anything done at the trade deadline. I was confused by it, but had faith.

This past draft he failed to get any deals done and didnt do anything at all. I questioned it greatly but thought Morey knew what he was doing.

He then proceeded to draft positions that did not necessarily need to be filled. Now I was starting to get frustrated.

A few days ago, he signs Asik, which was a must, I understand. Cant win games with Camby as a starter. But his contract is wayyyy too much $$$. Now I'm starting to panic.

Just a few minutes ago I read a report that Dragic and the Rockets are "not even close" to getting a deal done. Now I'm flat pissed off. How the HELL are you able to pay Asik loads of cash but not be able to give Dragic what he requests?!?!?!?

Dragic is hands down my favorite player on the team. He hustles, creates his own shots, finishes, and plays amazing defense. We HAVE to have him back.

If Morey ends the off-season with Dragic gone, and Lowry, Martin, and Scola still on the roster, I will officially list him as a terrible GM. We gave him chances, and he has failed miserably.

I said this last year. The guy has no clue what he's doing. I've had discussions with him before when I used to do work for the NBA and he's a nice guy, but if Danny Ferry can move in his first week of the job 30 mil in salary to moron teams, morey can get rid of Kevin Martin and Scola. But he's had 2 offseasons to try and move Martin and has failed miserably

Les is the problem, not Morey. If Les would accept blowing the team up, Morey could get rid of some of these guys. Danny Ferry can do what he just did because their owner understands that is best for the team. Les does not think that way.

If Morey was a terrible GM, we would not be competing for playoff spots. Terrible GMs have their team saddled with horrible contracts and in the cellar of the league.

Les needs to accept rebuilding. Morey has slowly moved us in that direction, but it's time to go full force. We have a nice collection of young players with intriguing potential. We need to get rid of some of the vets in front of them and see what these guys can do. Namely, Scola and Martin. Martin's expiring contract might be enticing for some teams, and he can provide offense right away. I think we might have to amnesty Scola honestly. No one wants a 6'8" finesse PF with his contract, even though it isn't outrageous.

I have to agree with Ryan. Morey's hands are tied. He is not allowed to do something like what Ferry did. He has been told by Les that he has to build a championship contender without rebuilding. That is virtually impossible unless you get lucky in the draft. I actually think they might have really hit on something with Lamb, but we'll see.

If you want to look for bad GM's, look at what Ed Wade did a few blocks away. That was a bad GM.

I'm disappointed that nothing big has happened, as well, but I don't think Morey is the person to blame. It seems like Les is the one who is committed to not rebuilding, and Morey has to follow the boss's orders.

Dragic is asking for 10 million a year. He isn't worth 10 million a year. It would be ridiculous to agree to that. If some other team will give him that, good for Dragic.

Unless the Lakers are willing to trade Bynum, I still think Dwight Howard ends up here when the smoke clears.

I think this is now growing more and more possible given the fact that it looks like the Nets won't have the cap space to sign D12. Lakers will just want guarantee that D12 will sign the extension with LA

I think D12 ends up in Atlanta. I'd rather have Horford + Teague compared to anything else people are offering, and Atlanta can receive Turkey Glue's sh-tty contract as well.

That's Marquis Teague. Jeff Teague is his older brother I believe, and plays for Atlanta.

At least 1 first rounder, but getting Turkey or J-Rich off the books is high on Orlando's priority list.

Teague + Horford + future 1st rounder for Howard + Turkey would probably do it.

Now we have no PG (Lowry is a baby and doesnt count), one average SG, a bunch of average forwards, and one center. This offseason has been one of the biggest disasters in team history

You realize Asik is being paid what Dalmbert was...I would say Asik is an upgrade.

The Bobcats had the worse record ever (percentage-wise) last season. If you're going to judge a GM by how his team performs, how can you say Morey = Jordan? That's just stupid.

And we still have until October until the season starts. And you're going to base Dragic not being signed by what you read on the internet? For all you know, it was probably something his agent leaked out to put pressure on the Rockets. You're just over-reacting.

Is Morey great? Hell no. Is he the worse? Hell no.

If you want to say that someone is doing a bad job, you have to show that someone could've done better. Without a single losing season? No GM could made this team much better than it already is.

I understand why the Rockets would tell Dragic, "Good luck with that" as he looks for $10 million contract.

The thing is, only 1 team needs to give him that, and I wonder if that one team is Phoenix.

The other team could be New Orleans. Even after maxxing out Eric Gordon, they would have space for him, and they have the need.


So I guess for that extra money, the Rockets wouldn't have to face Dragic.

Why did the rockets let Lee become unrestricted?

Lee has tweener value right now. My guess is the Rockets offerred him a bit over the MLE and he's balking. They let him go unrestricted because they don't want a team to tender 7 or 8 million and either lose him or overpay for him. Unrestricted, a team can't play chicken with an offer sheet and he'll come back at the current offer.

I hope they don't lose Lee, but, like every other player who's been on their roster for the last 2 seasons and is on it now, he's extremely expendable and replaceable so I wouldn't be that pissed if he walked.
