I love this move for both of them - great fit, decent contract (3 yr mle).

Interesting how the Celtics didn't wait for Ray Allen and went ahead and replaced him. Jet might be a better fit anyway with the emergence of Bradley and Ray not liking the 6th man role and his injury history

Since its only for the mle less chance the Mavs get a sign and trade out of it though.

Good for Jet. He's a solid role player and pretty cool human being. He had some good years here, but I doubt the Mavs were going to give him that much. Glad he found a good spot on a competitive team.

Either way, glad JET landed on a contender. I really wish we had the means to bring him back.

I think there would be minutes to go around for both. The Celtics need the added depth. They were playing Dooling, Peitrus and Daniels for much of the playoffs.

If they want to keep Ray then I suddenly don't like the move. Who plays in crunch time? Mr 4th quarter or the hall of famer? They should snt Allen for a quality big and sign guys like Delonte West at the minimum for depth.

well, to be fair, he did punch a guy in the nuts. during a game.

It wasn't a shining moment but it was in the passion of the moment of a heated rivalry playoff game. He never really has done anything approaching that before or since.

And besides, as far as I'm concerned it's an internal matter. Fin's more a Mav than a Spur himself.

Jet has made plenty of dirty plays. It's part of his game but he kinda sucks at it - the great dirty players are able to avoid getting caught in the act. But give him a season with Doc/Garnett/Rondo/Pierce and watch him take that phase of his game up a notch.

Well it's all come round full circle, because Deron Williams just gave all of Mavs fandom a giant punch in the nuts.
