your title makes it seem like kobe forearmed a guy and he died because of it.

The incident happened in 2005 when Kobe was flying into the crowd after a loose ball. at EVERY nba game, there is some player going after the ball and goes into to courtside seats.

Even he guy during his deposition in 2008 says he is suing because Kobe "seemed" angry and didnt "apologize" to him.



im sorry the guy died and feel bad for his family, but to blame this on kobe is absurd.

I'd like to see the video as well before rendering judgment against Kobe. And, I'm not so sure that awinlonghorn read the entire article based on his comments. Seems to be a little more to the scenerio than one would like to think. Maybe Simplebay will post the video in defense of Kobe since they are soooo close.

If this guy sued Kobe for flying into the stands and causing him injury, then Kobe ought to be able to sue Memphis for not providing enough of a buffer between the court and the fans to allow him to do his job.

This suit is ridiculous. You buy courtside seats you better expect that there's a chance you're going to come into physical contact with 6 to 7 foot, 200-300 lb. men diving for balls. This is a total money grab.

This seems to support the "ridiculous" side of the story. I would agree and think Kobe settled just to stay out of the headlines since the fan died and the family wasn't going to let it go. A Judge had already dismissed it once.

Saying it was intentional is ridiculous. Accidents happens during game.
