Im going to be pissed if the only Rockets games I get this year are when we play the Mavs.

Done yesterday and today.

I called them yesterday. They couldnt tell me if they were even considering it. The guy reminded me that it took them 3 years to pick up nfl network. If direct tv picks it up.. i will be switching.

Demanded and threatened to change providers if DirectTV picks it up.

I don't think so. I looked ahead for tomorrow and FSN is showing the Mavs tomorrow.

They are on comcast sportsnet houston now which suddenlink and direct tv dont have. Both have failed to negotiate terms to get it so far

I think it was a huge mistake for both the Rockets and Astros to leave Fox, their viewing distribution went from half of Texas and a good part of Louisiana to ending 20 miles outside of the tollway.

Good thing as that they both suck so most people will not notice anyways.

Somethings got to give.

I'm wondering if the big boy networks like AT&T are just not being agressive in trying to acquire the channel, or if Comcast is over-valuing their product and not budging on the price.

Would have been nice if FSSW just continued their coverage of both the Astros and Rockets.

Its pretty clear Comcast is overvaluing the product. They want more money. The providers dont think enough people care to pay more money.

The only way I see it happening is if the Rockets open up with a win streak and Houstonians come out like crazy. Even then, I feel like this could last a long time. I might be going monthly on league pass if its allowed.. but even then, with Suddenlink, you can only get broadband league pass.

Just called Fox N Hound and waited for about 5 minutes while they checked.. and then they hung up on me.. probably by accident. Ill call back in a bit. Im also gonna try Wolfies. Anyone wanna call the Corner or Sullys failed chicken?

Fox N Hound said they should have it. They would have to have league pass.

Just called The Corner and the girl said they were showing the game. I probably should have double-checked that they actually have the network, but she sounded pretty sure.

Edit: I forgot that it'll be on League Pass, which is probably what they have. I'll probably head over there and watch it.

Game won't be on League Pass. College Station is in the blackout area for Rockets as we're considered 'local'.

And please do not go to demandcsn.com or whatever that bull**** site is. The rockets and CSN screwed up bad by not being able to come to a deal with ANY of the major providers. They made their bed and now they have to lay in it.

I'm in Beaumont and have Time Warner Cable...looks like it's only on League Pass. 100 miles away and they expect us to pay the same as if we were going to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves...unbelievably horrible consumer service.

And I could give a crap about watching the Mavericks...

Anyone who takes the time to go to iwantcsnhouston.com is getting their messages forwarded to the respective networks and even if the networks are sending them straight to the garbage you can't ignore the numbers. If enough people continue to take action it might pressure the networks to strike a deal.

We will see who budges first. I think once they see how low the tv ratings are they might stop over-valuing their product and trying to penny pinch the networks.

But to say don't do anything or even call your network to ask why the hell you have to have the longhorn network out of Austin but can't watch your hometown teams is an asinine take.

If Comcast hasn't reached a deal with any major provider, it's cause they're asking for too much. By going to that site you're giving them more leverage. If your provider does cave and pays Comcast, it's going to end up costing you more.

Are you positive of this? That would mean there is literally ZERO chance to see the Rockets in College Station.

Unless things have changed from last season. Whenever they would show the mavs instead of the rockets I would get on my cousins league pass broadband account just to check and it was always blacked out.

I guess we will find out at 6:30 whether it is blacked out or not.
