Since Jordan is retired, he could probably win a championship.

At the peak of his powers Hakeem played center as well as anyone ever has. It was just too small a window to consider him the greatest ever.

It's great to see a player at Lebron's level who is still humble enough to learn and expand his game. I wish Dwight would spend some time with Hakeem this off-season.

Um....he was on top of his game for over 10 years. If you go to basketball-reference you'll see his per game numbers from 1984 - 1996 were approximately 24 ppg, 10 rpg, 3.5 bpg, 2.5 apg. For 12 years. I think that's a pretty big window, wouldn't you say?

His peak year (stat-wise)was probably 92-93 season when he averaged 26ppg, 13rpg, 3.5 apg, and 4.2 bpg. Those are legendary numbers.

Also, ask and you shall receive. Dwight and Hakeem working out 2 years ago:

Do you have any more unfounded criticisms of the Hall of Famer, Uncle Boo Boo?

Oh and by the way, I don't know if I would call him the greatest center ever. But I don't know who I would put in that spot. But if you are going to criticize him, I don't think that career longevity was a weakness in his resume.

Maybe I wasn't clear. I've got nothing but love for Hakeem. No doubt he is an all-time great and he's definitely in the GCOAT discussion.

At his best (Houston's championship years) he was the equal of anybody. That said, I'll take Kareem's career over his. If you include college, you can argue Kareem is the greatest player of all-time period.

He did. It speaks to his commitment as a player that he was the only one that didn't get anything from it. Kobe, Yao, LeBron all got better. Dwight got worse.

Dwight has gotten much better in the low/mid post over the last couple years. He looks worse lately because he's got a back injury and is playing on a dysfunctional team that doesn't run through him.

Looks like Dwight want to train with Hakeem again this summer.
