I haven't watched an NBA all-star game in years until tonight. Is this what I've been missing?

I am still not quite sure how Dwight Howard is center over Marc Gasol.

Starters are picked by fans that's why you don't see the deserving guys start.

Harden has blown a couple of easy layups early. If he started hot, they may have tried to feed him to make him MVP. But, it may be too late for that -- he might need to stand by and watch Durant, Lebron, Kyrie, and CP3 battle it out.

Didn't know Kobe had that kind of defense still left in the tank. Very very impressive.

As much as I can't stand Christina Paul, he makes games like this fun to watch with all the great passes. He deserves the MVP.

Never understood the hate for Chris Paul. He's a terrific player and an even better person.

He flops and whines. He's not even the usual player who flops to sell a legit call, initiates contact and flops, flops on light contact, or gripes at the ref for a couple seconds after missed call. He flops when he's not even touched. His flops are histrionic drama queen BS, which is why he got nicknamed "the heliflopter". He's done the move where he walks up to an unsuspecting opponent during a dead ball and throws himself on the floor trying to draw a technical foul. That's bush league.

I've said before, I love his basketball iq, court vision, and shooting, but I can't like a player who tries so hard to manipulate the refs.

I like Paul off the court but as it was said before the unwarranted flops are the biggest problem with him. They aren't exaggerations of fouls in which a lot of NBA players use, for example falling down trying to create a charge, etc...

For example:

That's not even the dead ball flop I was talking about. The one I was thinking of was "against" Francisco Oberto at midcourt when CP3 was in New Orleans.

How do you guys feel about Manu? I'll agree some of CP3's flops are rediculous, but I don't think it's as frequent as you believe. Certainly not enough that he's not a pleasure to watch.

CP360 is in the discussion for the best PG playing (and to me, he is the best right now). His addition to the Clips is huge. His flopping the last two years was just so over the top.

However, his twin brother, Cliff Paul, is an outstanding State Farm agent.

How has no one mentioned Alicia Keys singing about New York in Houston?

Manu has mostly given up flopping the last couple years, he can't take the pounding of hitting the floor several times a game anymore. Even in his glory days, his flopping was half because he threw himself into such weird, off-balance positions to get the shot off clean that he was going to hit the floor whether he was touched or not. He did flop at times, but it was always to sell contact. A jolting, unconventional player even when he wasn't trying to draw a foul. Now his worst move is intentionally trying to lift up for a jumper through a defender's arm on the reach in.

TP, however, has gotten worse as this season has progressed. He's expecting a call every time he drives the lane and it's getting a little old. He also does the move where any time the ball gets knocked loose his arms and legs pop out like he just got smacked in the nose in a game of rock em sock em robots.

Manu has never flopped like those images of CP3. I'm not even sure what CP3 is trying to accomplish there.. get a flagrant or technical called on an opposing player? Manu would never cheat the game like that.

Also, those who constantly use Manu as an example of flopping obviously don't watch the Spurs regularly because that really isn't apart of his game anymore. I will be the first to admit that he does tend to exaggerate a foul here and there and especially when he was younger but that isn't the same as what those gif's portray. Those are like trying to get somebody in trouble with the officials or something, I really don't understand it tbh.

I mean everybody flops at some point, it's just part of the game now, even lebron does.

In Tony's defense, while he does tend to exaggerate calls when he's attacking the rim, there are a lot more no-calls then bad calls when it comes to him.

The last 4-5 games Parker has been on a tear, partly because he's really pushing it, and when he's pushing it he initiates contact, and lately he is expecting a foul on any contact. Even Sean and Bill aren't acting like TP has a beef. I'm really only talking about that stretch, most of the season he's been playing his usual game.

I always saw it as, Manu sold fouls that actually happen. Chris Paul is a little ***** that falls down when nothing happens.
Great player though, and I'm sure I'd root for him if the Mavs somehow had gotten him.

My favorite part of the video is the "lay flat out like Melo" part because I then checked out the play they are referring to, which is always better with Kenny and Chuck doing the comments.

Alicia Keys looks like she borrowed those pants from Lebron from the night before.
