$0. Because they are 'injured'.

Wade has been out for a while, but resting James seems like a not-so-subtle jab at SA.

I see hypocrisy. I've go no problem with the Heat resting players, I do have issue with the league. Who cares if the players are in street clothes or on a plane ride home? They aren't playing either way. I also think its a funny little jab from the Heat though. I guess I'm just missing a good David Stern rant.

surely the spurs haven't actually written a check? that sum of money has to be held up in some kind of appeals process with the league.

as long as the spurs don't have to pay, i don't care if stern doesn't say a word about the heat sitting players.

if the spurs do in fact have to pay, i would want the heat to be fined just to spite stern trying to coddle his ratings and his cash cow teams.

It's perception...the Spurs didn't even bring the players with them, the heat had them there...it's a thin line, but the heat could argue that point...plus, as said before, Wade had missed a few games previously, as did chalmers I think...Lebron is another story...

+1 to all of this post.

Lebron was so hurt, he came out and tackled other players after the victory. Eye for an eye.

If the Heat can sit James and Wade and still beat San Antonio, the NBA should not fine them anything.

So 3 points is the difference between no penalty and a $250,000 fine?

It's prinicple. The only
People that don't realize this are spurs fans who think pops and the spurs were justified in what they did back earlier in season

So, if the Spurs can only lose by 5 without Duncan, Green, Parker or Ginnobli to the Heat, they shout not be fined...oh, wait...

I just laugh at Stern's indignation.

Leonard and Jack were out with legitimate injuries, too, which may have been part of why the Spurs decided not to expend a bunch of effort when they didn't have either of the guys who ought to be guarding Lebron.

They were both competitive games that came down to the final minute. If you're only concerned about the principle of the thing, then the final score is a detail. If you think the two situations are totally different because the ball bounced a different direction with 10 seconds left in the game, you're just a Spurs hater.
