Seems like a strange move. I figured they wouldn't waive him especially with what he's been through this year. I wonder if he wanted to quit.

Another theory is they might have their eye on a fill in player for Diaw since he's questionable for the playoffs with a bad back. I saw NY waived Kurt Thomas.
