If I were GS, I'd rather roll the dice on getting a few healthy years out of Bogut and grooming Ezeli to take over as the defensive centerpiece down the road.
Bogut has five seasons with at least 1.7 blocks (career best 2.5 bpg), has been a consistent double-digit scorer topping out at around 16 ppg in 09-10, and averages over 9 boards a game for his career. Howard's ceiling is higher, but Bogut is cheaper, less disruptive, and a very solid centerpiece for any defense. Oh, and Howard is an injury risk now, too.
