george karl and lionel hollins were both stuck fighting for 3-5 in the west. neither one being let go is surprising.

New management who hire John Hollinger to run their numbers. Obviously Hollins is old school hard ass and not new age saber metrics geek.
The Grizzlies are one of the best coached teams in the league and he got the most outnof their talent. Not every teambis built to be a 1 seed.

Letting go of Hollins was a very stupid move. Don't look for the Grizzlies to go far without a MAJOR upgrade.
The grizz just had tgeir best regular season record ever and followed that up with a trip to the western conference finals.

Lionel shouldn't interfere or comment on team building and should concentrate coaching the players he has. Hollinger isn't perfect (no one is), but he knows that there's more to basketball than points per game.
