I thought Howard is interested in what else the Rockets can bring.

Based on the Morey interview that was posted they plan to keep Omer and Lin if/when D12 signs. I wouldn't want Josh Smith honestly. Although I'm secretly hoping ATL resigns Smith and they also sign Monta so they can have the All-Empty-Scoring team.

I heard that interview this AM but have since heard later today that they will go after Smith with or w/o Howard.

Here is a SLAMonline link that suggests they sold Howard on the idea of playing with Josh Smith in Houston. Would require convincing Atlanta to do S&T.

Yes the thought is that ATL wants out of the Josh Smith business and would be open to a sign and trade, esp since they missed out on Howard and Paul.
