Are his knees completely shot?

He's only 24. He looked really great his rookie season, not sure what happened after that.

I'm not sure Blair has ever been hurt, but either way it's not why he doesn't play. He's decently talented, pretty athletic, and good in the pick and roll. He used to play quite a bit, but lost the "short pudgy center" spot to Boris Diaw.

He's played his whole nba career without ACL's... So there's that

Blair is a baller. True that he has no ACLs, but his quads are so freakin huge that it doesn't even matter.

Positives:
Brings energy and toughness.
Soft touch around the rim.
Average rebounder.

Negatives:
Immensely undersized. (6'6 in shoes)
Horrible defender.
Questionable shot selection.
No jumpshot.

Blair will put up numbers but they are empty stats. People looking at box scores and numbers might be impressed but those who actually watch basketball will realize how much of a liability he actually is on the court.

Wish him the best though.

He's also added a decently reliable floater in the last couple of years.

There are certain matchups that Blair can defend well one on one, but he's not a very good help defender, he's undersized, and quite frankly the Spurs have too many players who are better than he is.

Yeah, Blair was useless as a help defender. But he was decent 1 on 1 if he wasn't playing 7 foot centers.

His offense will definitely be a plus if you put him in the pick and roll.
