What a mess.

Hiring Jason Kidd as a Head Coach immediately after playing was such a dumb move. You can't tell me that guys like Paul Pierce and KG, guys who have played in the league with Kidd for years, will suddenly respect Kidd as a coach the same way they would with Doc Rivers or Pop. It was doomed from the start if you ask me

So just to recap: Jason Kidd's two biggest coaching moves have been spilling a Coke and reassigning the guy hired to babysit him.

I was excited about the nets coming into the season.

But it's obvious Kidd is in over his head. I guess a direct move from player to head coach is too steep.

So much for the big rich russian's attempt to assemble a dream team.

Since the Nets have received plenty of deserved grief, they probably also deserve some recognition for this.

(only 4 games, but two were against Thunder and GSW)

After an underwhelming season with the Nets, Jason Kidd has been granted permission to speak to the Bucks about their opening.

He wanted additional duties, and probably looks forward to seeing if he can have the Bucks underachieve next year.

NBA twitter folks are going crazy on this.

One guy has that he's been offered Bucks president of basketball ops, and now the discussion is on compensation for Kidd.

Word has it the Brooklyn janitorial staff demanded Kidd be let go because they were tired of him spilling water all over the place.

I don't understand this. One mediocre year w a veteran team that could probably coach itself and the bucks are gonna promote kidd to HC AND pres of basketball ops?

How crazy that just a year ago or so, it was crazy to think that you would make a player who was just playing, and with no coaching experience, your head coach.

Now, it is a trend, and Kidd might get to be a president of basketball operations.

ESPN reported the new Bucks owner is one of Kidd's business partners. They are very close.

According to Woj, what Kidd is doing is pretty much a no no for another reason. They currently have a coach. Woj tweets:

I have to agree with Woj's tweets. It's pretty awful to be actively scheming for a way to get another man fired so you can take his job. The fact that Milwaukee's coach did poorly last year is irrelevant, this is Bobby Petrino low.
