Only two players have ever done it: Hakeem and Robinson. Is there anyone today who could do it?

I used b-r to run a search for 10-10-5 and either 5 blocks or 5 steals. These are the players who have pulled off a 10-10-5-5 game:

No one has 10 blocks or 10 steals in a single game this year. Anthony Davis (8, 9), DeAndre Jordan (9), and Roy Hibbert (8) are the only players to have 8 or 9 blocks in a game this year. Michael Carter-Williams has a 9-steal game and Dwyane Wade has an 8-steal game.

There are 5 players averaging 5+ in the 3 major stat categories.

Pretty good research. I'd bet Lebron could do it if he set his mind on it.

I would also like to see Durant set his mind on scoring 100 one game and just dribble up the court and shoot a 3 every time. I really think he could do it if so motivated.

I'd guess LeBron, Curry, or Rubio would be most likely to have a quad happen organically. Maybe CP3.

Looks like 10 steals is more likely than 10 blocks.

Rubios biggest struggle to do it might be points

Based only on what is posted above, Carter-Williams and Lance Stephenson look the most likely to me. However, Davis is the most likely to get 10 in that elusive 4th category and he already averages a double-double. The assists though... he only averages 1.4 per game. Maybe after a couple years when he improves his passing out of the post. Curry is probably the player I'd most like to see do it (after Duncan, of course).

Lebron is the player most able to intentionally do it, but he's also one of the least likely to actually try. He's all about efficiency and team ball nowadays.

Well done, Ulrich. I would say Anthony Davis, Curry, or Rubio. And that's based on about ten seconds of thought.

I could see LBJ or Westbrooks as best current candidates.

Nate Thurmond and David Robinson also did it

Marc Gasol is one of the top candidates for me along with Rubio, Westbrook, and Howard in the non DH12 list.

Alvin Robertson also did it.

Before they recorded steals and blocks, it's likely Wilt, Russell, West, and Oscar accomplished the feat as well.

LeBron or a healthy Rondo.

The one thing I didn't doublecheck, and I whiffed on it.

But here is another bit of trivia, per wikipedia: Derrick Lewis posted a quad double in the French National League in 1990. The categories? Points, rebounds, steals, and blocks. Lewis did not record a single assist in the game.

Kobe, Kidd, and others have probably also done it if you count turnovers as a category...

Strangely enough, Marquis Daniels used to be a threat to do this when he played with the Mavs.

If Rondo comes back healthy i could see him doing it. Otherwise, Davis and Labron are my picks.

Wow so true...that one series against the kings I believe he was a rookie he was crushing it!! He was a beast his rookie year then never really progressed. Lot of fun his rookie year though.

I was lucky enough to be at Dream's Q-D with my dad, it was against the Milwaukee Bucks. Ironically, in those limited in-house tech days, we kinda felt like he wasn't having a good game because he only finished with 18 points.

What you might not remember is earlier that year, Dream had 29 points, 18 rebounds, 11 blocks and 9 assists against Golden State, and the Rockets thought he had the 10th assist, but the league overruled it.

Timmy did 21-20-10-8 in game 6 of the '03 finals.

Yao had 35/17/8/7

The 8 was turnovers.

I think D-Wade used to be a threat to do it, not healthy enough now.
I could see Westbrook doing it via pts, reb,assists, steals.

You realize WB hadn't missed a single game before that freak collision?

Boogie Cousins might be the best bet to pull a Quad. He is passing really well this year. Would need to have a serious block or steal game. But he also gets a ton of steals for a big man.

I randomly went to the Hakeem one against the Bucks when I was 6. Still have the ticket...

I'm pretty sure Clyde Drexler did it too during the opener with the Rockets one year

Drexler never did it, but he was a rebound away once and a steal away another time.

LBJ 30 points, 8 rebounds 7 assists, 6 steals tonight. Probably as close as we will see all year and still far away.
