Here's the boxscore
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400490025

Of note:
The game was in Indiana
Indiana was down 23-55 at halftime.
Atlanta scored 33 in the first quarter, meaning they could have scored zero points in the 2nd quarter and still gone to the locker room with a double digit lead.
Hibbert was benched after 9 minutes in which he went 0-5 from the floor (no FTAs either) and grabbed 0 rebounds. I don't understand how somebody who's 7'2 & 290lbs, and moves reasonably well, is averaging 6.7 rebs/game in 29 minutes/game.

I am starting to think they are going to lose in 5 or 6 games in the 1st round. This is becoming a historic meltdown

I don't understand what's going on with the Pacers of late. Very odd the funk they're in.

The Pacers are a mess. The East is so weak, they'll probably still find their way into the conference finals so that Lebron & friends can sweep them out of the way.

You're right that the East is weak, but the Pacers just got the crap beaten out of them by a 34 win team in their own gym.

23 points in a half... I mean holy ****. That's really, really, really bad. That's middle school offense bad.

If this continues for this last week and a half, I'd be surprised if they didn't lose in the first round. All of the players on the team are extremely pissed at one another (and the losses are only making it worse), the coach has lost control, Larry Bird is taking pot shots at everyone in the media... I mean it's a total ****ing circus at this point.

The team and locker room has been spiraling downward since Danny Granger left. He was the veteran that was the voice of the locker room and kept the young guys in line. Now looks like a lot of finger pointing and bickering. Not sure about the first round, but they could definitely lose to the Bulls/Nets/other. Not going to coast to the ECF like everything thought they were a month ago.

The sub-.500 Hawks are destroying them in Indiana. Wow.

If the Pacers were to somehow lose the series....is this a bigger upset than the 67 win Dallas team losing to GS. They were 25 games better that season but 3 of their 15 loses were to GS during the regular season. And at least GS had some exciting players and a team pulse. This is a lame duck ATL team that was trying to miss the playoffs but somehow sucked just a little less than the Knicks.

The Hawks weren't trying to miss the playoffs. They spent money in free agency, went after Dwight, and took the top assistant coach in the NBA and gave him a head coaching job. They expected to make the playoffs.

Correct. If Al Horford had been healthy this hawks team is a 4 seed in the east

definitely not bigger upset than dallas-golden state. Indiana has been in the toilet for the last month.

I was talking more or less the last 2-3 weeks for atl as far as not really putting out their max effort. Their gm basically even stated it would be better to not make it as an under .500 8 seed for the chance to get a top pick.
