Magic is one if my least favorite celebs in the country. Definitely my least favorite sports celeb. Just shut the **** up.

I was born in 1988, too late to ever see Magic play or really know anything about him. Through that lens, Magic really seems like an ass, especially with the stuff he said during the Stirling business and now this.

Like Barkley said, Magic should be bigger than that.

I am too young to appreciate his greatness. The only Magic I really know is his God awful commentating on espn (I really think he is the worst I have ever heard) and now his recent garbage.

I really can't stand the guy.

Honestly believe that Magic deserves to be in the discussion as greatest basketball player to play the game.

I think he's done a pretty good job in some of his business dealings.


I absolutely cannot stand listening to the guy on ESPN, and twitter continues to reveal what an idiot the guy is.

If you are too young to remember Magic playing, that's really a shame, he was incredible.

An to say he's been "pretty good" as a business is like saying DiCaprio has been "pretty good" and snagging hot tail.

Magic is one of the few sports players that transcends sports, which I think can sometimes make folks get how great he was.

All that said, I agree with those that say he is better than to make these kind of comments and frankly it seems out of character for him to do so.

Magic is on a power trip now that his name got slung in with Sterling's mess and the response that came to Sterling.

That tweet is ridiculous and uncalled for.

Magic has been critical of the Lakers often when he was doing espn stuff. This isn't anything new except to Twitter.

It's bad form as a high profile person who's forever associated with the franchise to act like this in my opinion.

Magic was my 'hero' growing up. While not the best player ever, I do think he was the most entertaining and engaging. Watching him with the ball leading a fast break during the Showtime era was something truly special that has yet to be replicated (ironically, the current Clippers are probably closest to bringing back that kind of excitement). He made basketball fun and let it show with that smile (long before everybody tried to act tough and 'hard' after a good play).

The HIV thing (remember this was a gay disease until Magic; one of the first things people wondered when Magic got it was if he was actually gay) and the business success has allowed him to transcend sports.

I am not blind and deaf however. I think he is horrible as a commentator and the Magic Hour was a joke. I also think the tweet was quite classless. I wish he would hold his tongue quite a bit more. I'm not the biggest Jordan fan ever but Michael is on the money with how reserved he is about speaking his mind.

when you have lived/live the type of private life that MJ does, you have to counter that with absolutely no public persona other than the things that draw a paycheck. And even then some of the stuff still spills out.

Tom T is a great coach. I don't plan on learning how to spell his name and I'm not sure he would fit in LA, but he's a great coach.

I don't think JVG would take that gig.
