Anyone think guards are getting WAY too many calls when fighting through screens?

This completely killed Houston's bigs in their series vs Portland... and if they keep calling it like this, it'll completely ruin the Clippers with DeAndre and Griffin setting the screens.

I hate this call. Just because you're 6' and trying to fight through a bigger 7' player setting a screen, does NOT mean it's a foul on the big guy for standing there. Refs instantly react to the flop that the guard gives when running into the big guy. Such crap.

It gets them in foul trouble and takes them out of the game early on BS calls. Never really noticed it until this year's playoffs.

I'll agree with you on this in that guards trying to fight through the screen move the bigger guy and then the big gets called for a moving screen even if he wasn't moving. It's just like charge/block and the ref won't get it right often enough.

I noticed a plentiful amount of moving screens in the reg season as well. But I agree with you

It's definitely called way too often. But I don't think they called it on Lopez or Aldridge once in our entire series. It is called way too often and it is not consistent, which is even more frustrating

I think it is consistent with the way the game is officiated, which has generally turned into guards get more calls than posts.

Touch falls are being called on jump shots, maul ball is allowed down low, regardless of team.

I think these playoffs have set a new high for potential 4 point plays because the refs are looking for any contact on shooter. That same standard isn't given down low.

And I also grow weary of the offensive players jumping sideways into a defender on a jump shot, initiating contact, and getting the call.
