I guess. 99 spurs would buttfuuk most teams and I believe could beat 97/98 bulls. People truly don't know the power of that team because the east was weak and because of the shortened season.

I've run this match up 13 times so far on whatifsports and it's 7-6 Spurs. Home teams have only won twice. Strange.

It would be a great series. I'm still not convinced Lebron is anywhere near the player Jordan was and Lebron will certainly go down as one of the greatest of all time. As will Duncan.

But I do think Pop is a better coach than Jackson. If there is anyone that could assemble a team and plan to beat a Jordan led team, it would be Pop. As seen in the last 5 games, a well oiled machine where you can essentially count on 6-8 players to play at a high level in rotation have the ability to wear down even the best.

Why 98 Bulls? Weren't the 96 Bulls the best? Some say the 86 Celtics were better than either as well as the 85-87 Lakers.

That '98 Bulls team was running on fumes. Steve Kerr has said as much. They limped their way to a championship that year on shear will and experience. It helped that they faced the Jazz who were also near the end of their relevance.

Today's Spurs would run either of those teams into the ground.
