If the Rockets had a decent coach we would have been able to see the Rockets/Spurs series. However I don't think anyone was going to beat the Spurs the way they were playing.

Spurs would have steamrolled Houston in the playoffs. You can't beat the Spurs when only Beverly and Dwight are playing D. And Dwight's D gets significantly worse the further from the basket he is.

That's why the Rockets need a new coach. They need someone who can get James Harden and others to play defense. (If that is even possible)

But I agree, I don't think the Rockets would have put up much fight against the Spurs this post-season. However I am hopeful that the basic blocks are in place for it to happen in the future. It will be interesting to see which direction the Rockets go this off-season.

No doubt that the Spurs got on a roll, starting with Game 7 against the Mavs. They were 0-4 against both OKC and the Rockets in the regular season and the play-offs were just a different story.
