Gotta assume Lebron, Curry, and Durant are done playing basketball in the Olympics.

I'm not ruling out LeBron in LA. Even as the 12th and mentor.

I bet 2028 will be anchored by Book, Anthony Edwards, Paolo Banchero, and Chet. I don't think Tatum plays.

I think we lose to France without Lebron, Steph and KD and a seasoned Wemby + his band in 2028.

Luka is a one man show for Slovenia, so that may not change.

Jokic will be older, may not be the same Serbia team.

I think Jokic will be good for a very long time if he actually maintains his interest in basketball. His game isn't exactly taxing on the body.

But yeah, agreed on 2028 France. Weak draft, but they did just have two of their countrymen go 1 and 2 in this past NBA draft. Wemby should be the best player in the world by 2027 at the latest.

The US doesn't have that kind of generational talent right now, not that I can see. Just makes this KD/Bron/Steph Olympics that much more enjoyable. Once in a lifetime viewing appointment as a hoops fan.

Olympic basketball should follow Olympic soccer. Make it U-23 and allow 2 vets that are over 23.
Yeah, team USA won but with the talent we had they should have won each game by 25. I know overseas basketball is a lot bigger/more competitive than 20-30 years ago, but US is still the peak.

A team of Wemby, Fournier, and Batum as their best players should have been run out of the gym by a US team with all-time legends.

No, I'm saying ALL teams in the Olympics should be U-23. We get to see plenty of NBA basketball. Make the Olympics at least a little closer to what it used to be.

The original Dream Team was cool b/c we got to beat down other countries who'd been bringing pros to the Olympics. I'm kinda past that now.

That's what Steph should be expected to do against inferior players and teams. The US is a team of future HOFers and France had a second year Wemby (who may become one) and Rudy freaking Gobert. Again, if we're gonna bring a team of all stars we should win be 25. Every time. It's embarrassing that France made it a game in the second half.

He is going to have to pay 1.65M of his 2.1M salary to Real Madrid to get out. 76ers can pay 850k. So he is kind of playing for free in hopes that he can cash in next year. He and RM could negotiate it down or spread it out over multiple years.
