I wouldn't trust him handling a little league pitcher must less a Major Leaguer. I agree he is highly overrated, maybe Cincy takes the next step with a new skipper.

gonna be honest...I thought Dusty improved his reputation/legacy as a manager during his Reds' tenure.

He got the Reds to the playoffs in 2010, 2012, and 2013. Snapped a 16-year playoff drought for the franchise. Competed very well against the Cardinals with less talent and fewer resources

note...the 2002 Giants were the wildcard entry for the national league that season. Arizona won the NL West with Schilling and Randy Johnson
