Here's a link to a video of him spending a lot of time with some LA area Little League players at their practice. He dropped in, signed autographs and even pitched for their practice. This guy gets that the game is FUN, and even his riches haven't spoiled his connection to the roots of the game..the kids. Great job, Yasiel!

He is a show boater and hot dogs it. He is going to get one of his team mates beaned and maybe that will calm him down.

He is fun, but also bad role model. He doesn't walk out of the batter's box until announced, as well as stares down umpires so often on strike 3 calls...I understand the occasional bad call, but multiple times during playoffs on some easy calls. Not a dude I would have my kids look up to.

^Agreed. He plays the game with great enthusiasm he just needs to learn respect.

Puig has been getting the JFF treatment from a lot of the national media talking heads.

Glad to see someone put out a positive story.

Too many people want to do away with all emotion in sports because it may 'hurt someone's feelings'. If one team is upset that a player on the other team is showboating, you stop them. That can be done by beating them, by not allowing them to hit HR's or by beaning them. For fans to sit in the stands and look down upon players because they play with emotion makes me laugh.

Emotions =\= disrespect

He plays with emotions and I like that. I don't care for the disrepect I've seen him give to his teammates, other players, and umps. I love how hard he plays though. He is one of the hardest playing players I have ever seen.
