Interested in hearing some perspective:

3B: A-Rod (38) - 44 GP (4 more years)
SS: Jeter (39) - 17 GP (1 year deal)
2B: Roberts (36) - 75 GP (1 year deal)
1B: Teixeira (33) - 15 GP (3 more years)

A grand total of 151 games - COMBINED.

Do the Yanks have MI youngsters coming along?

2015 FA doesn't look to have much coming, unless you consider HanRam.

Does Tanaka look like a must sign for the Yanks, at this point?

There were some rumors they had interest in Ackley. M's have middle IF help available, especially at 2B.

I look at that lineup and think, "Hey, you can always get older, right?"

Not sure this warrants a new thread, so I'll just drop this off right here...

Reads almost like one of my threads.

this was my favorite

quote:
But keep this in mind: Two offseasons ago, the Yankees stayed away from giving Beltran a two-year contract because they were concerned about the combination of his age and damaged knees. Now, though Beltran is two years older and has two more seasons played on those troubling knees, the Yankees have given him a three-year contract. This is Yankees math: Don’t trust him with a two-year contract at age 35, give him a three-year contract at age 37.
