If you look at each team gets 25 players on the roster... evenly split... each team should be equally represented... You could use 40-Man, as well...

Just looking at the signed Rangers June amateur draft since 2007... 13 Players with stats in 2014. A couple AAA players of note because they will likely pitch in 2014.

2012
Nick Martinez (P): Texas - Returns to pitch Monday

2010
Mike Olt (3B): Cubbies
Justin Grimm (P): Cubbies

Nick Tepesch (P) - Round Rock

2009:
Tanner Scheppers (P) - Texas
Robbie Erlin (P) - San Diego

2008:
Justin Smoak (1B) - Seattle
Robbie Ross (P) - Texas
Joe Wieland (P) - San Diego
Joey Butler (OF) - St. Louis AAA
Justin Miller (P) - Detroit
Tanner Roark (P) - Washington

2007:
Blake Beavan (P) - Seattle
Tommy Hunter (P) - Baltimore
Evan Reed (P) - Detroit
Josh Lueke (P) - Tampa

Add players like Leonys Martin, Martin Perez, Yu Darvish, Holland (DL), Harrison (DL), Colby Lewis, Moreland... that's 20 (18 + 2 on DL).

Add 2006 and beyond: Chris Davis (1B-Balt), Craig Gentry (OF-Oak), Mayberry (OF-Phi), Danks (P-ChiS), Kinsler (2B-Det), Feldman (P-Hou), Teixeira (1B-NY DL), CJ Wilson (P-LAAA), Aaron Harang (P-Atl)

Not a bad representation.

Reading Scott Lucas' "The Farm Report," I found it funny how many former Rangers are with the Cubs AAA team (Iowa).

3B Christian Villanueva
SP Carlos Pimentel (24)
SP Neil Ramirez (25)
SP Kyle Hendricks (25)

I think San Diego and Baltimore... maybe Seattle have the most former Rangers.

i'm sure the Rangers will find another 3B prospect to trade to the Cubs for Jason Hammel at the deadline...

it's amusing that Christian Villanueva was traded because he was blocked by Mike Olt in the minor league pecking order only to be blocked by Olt again as a Cub

No way you get Joey Gallo.

He is a beast...

That is, well, we do have Beltre under contract until 2016 (age 37).

Timing ought to be about right for Gallo. And Kouz.

How could you leave off Barret Loux?!

Loux was never drafted by the Rangers, but signed after Az drafted him and failed to sign him because of injury concerns.

The draft has been good, but the international signings have been great. That's been the bigger key to their success I think.

Looks like Neil Ramirez got the call. Its "Show Time."

Agreed. I just didn't have the time to search them out.

Ack

since 3 of the 4 guys in the Garza trade have been mentioned already, I'll go ahead make it 4 of 4 for those of you keeping track of those guys... CJ Edwards had a MRI last weekend after reporting discomfort in a bullpen session... results came back negative, but he's out til about July with shoulder fatigue

From the International prospect signings:

http://www.baseballamerica.com/international/which-teams-have-signed-the-most-international-prospects-2/

quote:
They’ve the Rangers traded away three of their better international signings as well, with the 2010 deal that sent Venezuelan lefthander Edwin Escobar to the Giants (now the organization’s No. 2 prospect) for Rule 5 pick Ben Snyder after Escobar’s first season the one they will regret the most. Mexican third baseman Christian Villanueva (sent to the Cubs in the 2012 Ryan Dempster deal) and Dominican shortstop Leury Garcia (shipped to the White Sox last August for Alex Rios) also signed with the Rangers as amateurs.
