Ron needed to see 5 consecutive guys on base in a tight ballgame just to be sure.

Cotts should not pitch again this year.

Apparently Ron is the only one who couldn't see Cotts didn't have it after giving up the hit to Cano and plunking Hart.

He's pitched one clean inning all year.

12 runs (either his or inherited scoring) surrendered in 10 appearances by Cotts this year.

The biggest joke, besides that last play, is that Rodney gets credited with a save.

The Mariners have been so bad this year that it's nice to see something go right. I'll root for the Rangers and Astros when they aren't playing the Mariners.

Can the Astros please standup and beat the A's....at least once!!

What we've learned from Wash over the years and again this year is that he will stick with a struggling player, so they can get it turned around.

Wash will stick with a player and get a loss in April, if he thinks staying with that player will get him wins in Sept.

This is a sport you won't win every game. It is easy to put blame on Wash during the grinding out time, but come September if Cotts is shutting down the 7th Inning, nobody except Cotts and those on the team will look back at that game as more than positive than pinning it on Wash.

It doesn't always work out, but Wash has this team with the 2nd best record in the AL and he is doing it with half his team on the DL. 13 of 23 GS from guys who did not start games in MLB in 2013.
