SO much bad information:
Anyone who thinks this team is on the demise... probably doesn't really watch baseball.
We are at .500 and half our team is on the DL. 4 players on the field (Beltre, Andrus, Choo and Rios) were expected to play.
- SP: Darvish (2017), Holland (2018), Perez (2018), Tepesch (2018), Martinez (2020)
- 2B: Sardinas, Odor & Profar: Highly regarded.
- OF: Leonys (2018), Choo (2018)
- 1B\DH: Fielder (2018), Moreland (2016)
- Top Prospects:
-- Alfaro - One of the best Catching prospects. (ranked 54 overall by BA)
-- Gallo - Great 3B prospect
-- Luke Jackson - SP
The biggest problem for the Rangers has been Free Agency... Losing their #1 SP for 3 straight years hurts. Trade - The Rangers have something like 11 players they've drafted and traded off during this playoff run who are currently in MLB.
You may have a good 3-4 year wait if you think the Rangers are headed for demise.

The Arlington rangers window of opportunity is closing and may have actually already closed.
Before we write the Obit on the Rangers... let's have them not play more than 162 in a season.
Typical Houston people being Houston:

I'm surprised they didn't change mangers after the year they choked away that game 6 in the WS.
Coolquote:
It's also important to remember that their 2010 and 2011 runs weren't really fueled all that much by their home grown prospects. Cliff Lee, Hamilton, Cruz, Vladdy, Colby Lewis, Napoli, Beltre... All FA or trades.
The 2010 and 2011 Rangers are about as home grown as you get.
CLee: 15 GS in his Rangers career.
Hamilton: He came to the Rangers in a trade than many believed the Rangers got taken. It was in 2008... Hamilton had 90 MLB GP and many believed he'd never play an entire season.
Cruz: Traded to the Rangers in 2006, projected to be a AAAA player... the Rangers in fact exposed him DFA... nobody wanted him so he came back to the Rangers.
Lewis was originally the property of the Rangers who was unable to sign with another MLB team... went to Japan... came back to the Rangers.
Vladdy, Napoli and Beltre were all nice additions. But, you missed again.
Vladdy only played 2010.
Napoli came in 2011, essentially to replace Vlady.
Beltre came in 2011.
2010 Rotation:
CJ Wilson - 33 GS \ 3.35 ERA: Drafted 5th Rd Rangers
Colby Lewis - 32 GS \ 3.72 ERA: Rangers 1st Rd
Scott Feldman - 22 GS \ 5.48 ERA: Rangers 30th Rd
Tommy Hunter - 22 GS \ 3.73 ERA: Rangers 1st Rd
Derek Holland - 10 GS \ 4.08 ERA: Rangers 25th Rd
------------------------------
Harrison - 6 GS \ 4.71 ERA: Drafted by Atlanta 3rd 2003. Traded to Rangers in 2007. MLB debut in 2008
Nippert - 2 GS \ 4.29 ERA: Drafted by Az in 15th Rd 2002. Traded to Rangers in 2008.
-----
Harden - 18 GS \ 5.58 ERA
CLee - 15 GS \ 3.98 ERA
2011 Rotation:
CJ Wilson - 34 GS
Colby Lewis - 32 GS
Derek Holland - 32 GS
Scott Feldman - 2 GS
Harrison - 30 GS
Ogando - 29 GS <- Ogando was a Rule V OF acquisition by the Rangers in 2005. They converted him to SP and fought legal battles to get him re-instated to MLB, due to a marriage scam being done in island countries. He made his MLB debut in 2010.

I will be totally shocked if we can hold it together the rest of the way.
Not me.
