The Rangers are 0.5 GB for the WC. This is crazy.

Soto has indicated he is on track for a return in July after the ASB.

Holland appears to be progressing.

Rangers seem to be all over Morales, with one person projecting he'd be a Ranger within 48hrs (from Friday morning).

While I believe Choice, Odor, Giminez, et al have the ability to continue to improve as the season goes... I don't have that confidence of growth in Tepesch, Martinez and Saunders... or Colby.

Rangers won't compete this year, shouldn't trade any prospects.

Every team in the league save for 3 are within 3 games of the wildcard or the division. It's nice to "still have a chance" in June, but its not really an indicator of playing good baseball.

None of the other teams in WC contention are dealing with a historically unique level of injuries.

It's a testament to the front office and, gasp, Wash.

It's a 0.500 caliber team playing 0.500 ball. While the injuries certainly knocked them from a potential WS contender, it's not a team that you expect to lose every time they take the field.

So essentially we have over half of tonight's performers who on opening day... were not deemed MLB caliber players.

Smoke and mirrors worked for Martinez for a bit, but after several lousy appearances in a row, it looks like the book on him made it out. Beyond just the fact that he looks unable to get it done right now, it 's also time to consider what getting continuously rocked does to his confidence and development.
