We've never been to a game in Arlington and I'm taking the family (5). Is my best option just buying from the MLB site now or can I have some luck with scalpers or any other source?

It's a Friday night with Trout and Hamilton in town so I have no idea what kind of demand/supply to expect.

Stubhub the week (and even day) of the game. I took my family (4 of us) to see them play the Angels 2 weeks ago and sat 20 rows up from 1st base for a grand total of $85. I bought our tickets the day before the game. There were 5-6k tickets for sale on stubhub alone for each of the angels games.

As stated, stubhub. Take a look now. If deal doesn't blow you away, wait. You will be able to buy for a well below face value price.

yeah, looks like there are 6k available on stubhub for that game right now, and I'd expect more premium seats to become available the closer the game gets. Needing more than 4 reduces some of your options, but you'll still find plenty available. Looks like most of them are already at about half of face value (+ you don't pay the ridiculous fees).

Yes. Try 1st base line all else being equal. It will be in the shade well before the 1st pitch.

By 7pm, behind home plate and 1B is usually pretty pleasant - shady and there is typically a decent breeze swirling around in the park.
