As much of an idiot as Bob Costas is when he voices politics, I love hearing him call baseball games on MLBN.

TBS guys are blah. That obviously know nothing about the Royals and have done almost no research on the team.

Its not the shadows I care about, how do you build a fan base when people are at work or school during the most important games of the year. No other league will play a playoff game in the middle of the day on a Tuesday.

I've listened to Cardinals radio for every game with the volume down on the TV. I have loved not being stuck with the national broadcasters. Now if the Cards make the World Series, then ESPN will have a radio monopoly outside of each team's flagship station, and KMOX is very scratchy in Columbia at night. I could get it crystal clear (at night) in Bryan, but not here in Mid-Missouri. 125 miles must be the magic distance.

FOX has turned postseason baseball into a cheesy melodramatic miniseries.

Too many zoom in closeups of super serious relievers, fans with clasped hands, "I Believe" signs, etc.

It's less baseball and more schlock. I hope that they don't renew when the contract is up.

Still, it's going to be a fun Series.
