Ump ruled this a foul ball. Are softball fair/foul rules any different than baseball? Seems like a BS call.

It looks like a fair ball but where it lands is not important. It's where the ball was when the 1st baseman made contact with the ball. Looks fair but not the best angle.

You cant tell. She touches the ball somewhere over the line. The ump has a better view than this camera.

The batter's reaction also makes me think the trajectory might have been outside the line before it was touched.

right handed glove touches ball that drops in fair territory, I say that the ball was probably fair but the umpire didn't see it because his view was blocked by the batter

And know that the chalk line is in FAIR territory, so any part of the ball over the chalk is fair.
