Headed to the Bay Area next weekend, and planning on catching a game (vs. Marlins) Saturday night. Anyone been? Where should I try to get tickets? Any suggestions on other stuff?

It's a great park, probably my favorite. I've sat all over and they are all good. My most memorable was in the RF bleachers. But, that was against the Dodgers and back when Bonds was playing. Could walk up and see the kayaks in McCovey Cove.

Lots of good food and beer selections. My work held a concert there a few years ago and every concession was open and free, was like heaven.

Cool, thanks. We may settle for upper deck seats, to keep the cost down, so we can spend more on food and beer!

Upper deck is my favorite spot (I live here, so go to a lot of games). The fans are much better up there and the views are amazing, especially on the first base side. I tend to end up in section 313 a lot. Only negative is there are less food and beer options up there, but I will usually get beers at the good stands before heading up.

Oh, and garlic fries. No explanation needed.

Have fun!

Upper deck, first base side. You're welcome.

On the drive back to wherever you're staying, you'll discover you have the munchies. HTH.

Plan ahead for parking because like most things in SF it'll cost you. I paid $35.00 because I didn't scope it out in advance.

Also I will second sitting in the upper deck. Great views of the bay and also you don't feel that far away from the action.

I've been to ten MLB stadiums now and AT&T is my clear number 1.

Its a nice park. I enjoy sitting out in the OF bleachers but have had a good time in other spots. Its definitely a "place to be" type scene in contrast to Oakland where you're more likely to see people keeping score and whatnot.

If you're staying in the city, there are lots of options. The light rail drops you off right next to the stadium on the embarcadero if youre coming from downtown. Otherwise walk or cab it. The walk from the downtown bart stations arent all that bad if thats what you end up doing.

Pregame at the Public House near the home plate gates is pretty fun.

We're actually staying up in Windsor and we're driving down to SF for the day. Looking for somewhere I can park for the day that's not going to be too expensive, then we'll do public transport to get around.

Sorry, but I enjoyed that line. Not trying to be an ass, but good luck with that...

In all seriousness, you should park somewhere further west in the city and bus it over (or ride share). Make sure you read the signs regarding parking. If you find an empty street filled with open spots and get excited, move along.

Oh, I know, that was pretty much tongue-in-cheek.

Great stadium. Definitely need to do some parking and traffic homework ahead of time. I drove over and parked near the stadium
