I'm headed there tomorrow night for a game, and wondered if there are any reco's or spots around to grab a pregame meal.

I went once many many years ago, and don't remember much about it, other than thinking it's more of an in and out place. Don't plan to go early or stay late. Go for the game and the game only.

Am I remembering that correctly?

That's what I thought. And I'll simply have on an Aggie cap.

As for stadiums in CA, San Fran park > dodger stadium for sure.

I'm not in OR.

I prefer SF and SD. Two of my top three parks I've visited (Safeco the other).

I can see giants being better but i like the old parks better.

Dodger Stadium is literally the only thing in the city of Los Angeles that I want to see. Dodger Stadium was one of the last stadiums built before the multi-purpose stadiums started popping up. I hate the Dodgers, but I love that ballpark... at least on TV.

Some day I will make a trip to LA. I will see Dodger Stadium and the remains of the old outdoor M*A*S*H set at Malibu Creek State Park. Then I'm getting the hell outta town. Maybe check out the Big Bear area.

Don't knock the beaches. Manhattan Beach is fantastic.

Pasadena is a damn nice area as well if you know where to go.

I'm just not a city person. I'd hang out in the mountains. I'm also not a big beach person. Probably scarred by all of my trips to Crystal Beach (I grew up in Beaumont) and having to clean the tar off me with lighter fluid when I got out of the water. I have been on the beach in Crescent City, CA!

Fair enough. If you are not a city person or a beach person, stay the hell away from LA. (And San Diego, although you are missing one fine city there).
