Thought this was a great video and great reminder of how baseball was used to help our country recover from the tragedies that took place 14 years ago. If you have about 25 minutes, give this video a watch. Very well done.

Not to turn this into the politics board, but George Bush loved/loves America and those who fight for it, and he played a big role in the healing process. Who knows what the few years after 9/11 would have been like if we would've had the current regime running things

I feel like baseball fans (even you Houston fans) have their heads screwed on a little tighter when it comes to politics and common sense in general, so let's hope we don't see that here.

I think this is the most unnecessary comment to make.

I didn't always agree with GWB's politics but I will say to anyone that the way he carried himself and led the country during this horrible situation was as spot on as could be.

To say that any president before or after wouldn't have been capable of speaking to a nation united despite different races, beliefs, party affiliations, etc. is just wrong.

You don't know how you personally would or could react in that situation as the head of this nation, so how the hell can you presume to know what someone else would do?

Take it to the politics board.

I don't think it has anything to do with race or party affiliation. This country has never been more divided than it is right now and the man square behind it, is the man running it. To think he could unite a country, like W did with Katrina or 9/11, is foolish in my opinion.
