As much as I despise the Yankees, I was actually rooting for them last night. They look old and tired and I think the Royals have a much better chance against NY than against the Astros.

The Royals HAVE to win games 1 & 2 this week to stand a chance in the series. I think they are 2-7 the their last 3 trips to Houston. For 2015 they were 2-4 against the Astros.

Let me also say that this is the first time I can remember that I like the prospects of a 5-game series versus a 7.

Astros in 3. Keuchel seals the series on Sunday.

First 2 games will dictate this series.

agree....the key is really game 2. Cueto has been a bit shaky. For 5-starts he was horrible but seems to have righted the ship the last two. In his last start however, he only gave up 1 ER but had 10 base runners (6H, 4W)...if the Astro's get 10 base runners on Friday, they're going to score a lot more than 1 run.

Both teams have good defense and good pitching. The Astro's strike out a ton but also hit a lot of HR (esp. at home). The Royals don't strike out, but score runs 1 at a time.

Where is everyone?

Well at least the Royals had some good at bats but not good to leave a guy in scoring position with one out. Also, thumbs down to Escobar for swinging at the first two pitches after his starter had a long 1st inning.

Pete Rose is a grumpy sonnava*****...

The strike zone widened considerably that inning....hope the Stros get the same courtesy...

As a Rangers fan, I was hoping we'd get kc as they were slumping down the stretch. Here's to an all Texas alcs!
