For a long time I have hated playoff baseball (and hockey) because you are forced to watch and listen to the national announcers after spending all year with your familiar local broadcast team. Today's Ranger vs BJ game really brought it home. They should just let both local crews announce the games and let you pick which feed you take (how many out of market people really watch and care anyway?) The game yesterday wasn't too bad, but today's was horrible. Despite the fact that the Rangers have done really well and been pretty much in control, they were so incredibly pro BJ that I could hardly listen.
When you think about it, it would be much more fun to watch the local team in the playoffs, with the local crew you are used to listen broadcast it.
I have never bothered, and yesterday and today I was watching most of the game on recorded delay, but I may have to try and sync up the radio call and the tv on Sunday. Would much much rather hear them than the crap I was forced to endure today.
