This is wonderful. I really want to take Thursday off and travel up to New York for the game now.

The TL/DR version is that the Yankees stated that they did not want "riff-raff" sitting in their premium seats. So Oliver is offering 25 cent tickets right behind home plate of the Thursday game against the Astros. But the caveat is you have to show your outfit for the game, and the theme is "I've never sat in premium seats before". I hope they get some hillbilly outfits.

Looking at the twitter feed, I really hope that the two Gator fans and the guy wearing the octopus win.

I think this could be a "bit" all season. Where's Waldo? Where is the "Yankees' Premium fan?"

serves them right for postponing the opening day game today. and letting the Astros find out about it via tweet as they were on the bus to the stadium

Yes, but "conveniently" the ESPN cameras are positioned a bit lower than normal.... so the first row of fans behind home plate are just out of the camera view. Pretty sneaky game of cat and mouse lol

I think that kind of makes for a good headline, but is it really that big a deal? I imagine as soon as they officially make the call to postpone the game that they try and get the word out to the teams as well as the fans at the same time.

Having the team bus have to turn around 5 minutes more into their trip is probably not as significant as 30,000+ parents and kids making their way to the stadium from all parts of the Northeast.
