Dodgers rookie is looking really good in his MLB debut vs SF.
quote:
The Giants fans are booing taking him out. I love that.
Good game strip. You made us proud.
quote:
He had a chance at history. What a ***** move by the Dodger manager.
quote:Two years ago. And the baseball gods just slapped Dave Roberts in the face, reminding him not to mess with history.
I hate to see it, but the kid is coming off Tommy John surgery.

quote:Because people are dumb. 100 curve balls is different than 100 fastballs is different from 100 change ups. Just like pitching in low stress situations or from the wind up is different from the stretch with the bases jacked.
Can someone scientifically explain pitch counts to me?
I know it's not the same, but I routinely threw over 12( pitches in high school and magically my arm never fell off.
Why is 100 the magic number?
quote:
True, he will. But he had a chance to be the only player to do it in 110 years. That's rare air and you let him go until a hit or walks consecutive people.
Then he brings in a reliever who puts it on a tee.
quote:I'm pretty sure the Astros broke that up, if I am remembering correctly.
I remember Wash letting Yu throw 128 pitches in his first start of the year against the Astros a few years back while chasing a perfect game.
Should have let him go on but rookie manager gonna rookie manage
quote:
I think they almost made it BECAUSE it was an unpopular decision. Washington did a bunch of that **** with Strasburg too. His surgery was literally over two calendar years ago. They stuck to their guns just to say they did, when pitch counts are a worthless stat. Just feel bad for Ross, especially now that the decision gave him an earned run and cost him the decision.
