Really trying to avoid buying fro a ticket website.

Thanks

I have bought from a scalper and some folks just looking to get rid of some extra seats. They were in he street in the walkway from the train stop and the stadium. There are seats with obstructed views of the field as it is an old park with grandstands. Be sure to do your homework and know how low you want to sit to avoid the beams.

When making a special trip and with a somewhat specific seating location in mind, going through a ticket website is well worth the $$$ IMO. With scalpers, maybe you'll save a few bucks and end up with a great seat, but you are setting yourself up for a hassle and the potential of not being as happy with where you end up.

Plus, who's to say you're saving money with scalpers. Stubhub has such significant inventory that it's really quite the efficient market for someone who knows what they want. A scalper who knows you want to sit behind the dugout and is interacting with you 30 minutes before first pitch has you bent over pretty bad.

Right. Stubhub or seatgeek, then go enjoy the experience and the day vs. scrambling around hoping to find a pair behind the dugout while not getting bent over.

I bought a single from a scalper for about $100, it was 15 rows behind 1st base.

Go into Yawkey early. They close off the street so it takes a ticket to get into it. I made a post several years back and I'll see if I can find it

I used this website when I bought tickets for a Rangers game at Fenway in July. It let's you look at almost every section to see where the obstructed views are.

All the seats at Fenway are close. You may think a $50 seat in a non-prime section is a ripoff, but it will be closer than most of the prime seats at other parks. I went in 2004....just happened to see Schilling...and just happened to be the year the curse ended. You're welcome, Boston.

Ace tickets is the "official" secondary market for the Sox.

I've never used it but the ads claim the largest selection and the best prices.

Go to the under the bleacher bar before the game and then the Budweiser roof top bar. Both are pretty cool.

Fenway is great. A baseball heaven. Very intimate setting. When I was there, I felt like the whole stadium could fit in just the field at the Rangers stadium.

Yeah, one of the factors that struck me the most the first time I visited was how much it blends into the surrounding neighborhood. while most stadiums are towering and can be seen for miles, you could conceivably ldrive down the street right next to Fenway and not notice it being anything other than a 2 story building.

No problem! Fenway is a sports bucket list for me, so the last thing I wanted was to be stuck behind a support beam.
